Captain Ernesto von Schupo 1930 Cross (in bronze gilt with blue, white and orange enamels, illustrating a left-facing crowned figure surrounded by the inscription "HAUPTM. ERNESTO v. SCHUPO 1930", backed by an eight-pointed starburst, on a four-armed cross base, measuring 56.3 mm (w) x 57.2 mm (h), original ribbon suspended from a hanger with pinback); Gonsenheimer Carnival Club 1892 Badge (in silvered bronze with red, white and navy blue enamels, obverse illustrating the webbed goose foot coat-of-arms on the Municipality of Gonsenheimer, surrounded by the inscription "GONSENHEIMER KARNEVALVEREIN 1892", on a six-pointed star base, with fleur-de-lis between each arm, maker marked "MADLER MAINZ" on the reverse, measuring 43.5 mm (w) x 49.3 mm (h), horizontal pinback); and Gonsenheimer Carnival Club 1892-1939 Badge (in bronze gilt with red, orange, white and blue enamels, illustrating three icons and the number "11", surrounded by the inscription "GONSENHEIMER CARNEVAL VEREIN 1892-1939", on a seven-pointed star base, the star points with ball finials, emanating rays between each arm and encased in a full wreath of laurel leaves, measuring 47.2 mm (w) x 45.8 mm (h), suspended from a red, yellow, white and blue embroidered cord). Intact enamels, gilt wear on the reverse of all three, together, better than very fine.

This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
